More than 80 free events to be featured from September 20 to October 13
Richmond will host its annual Culture Days from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, October 13, featuring over 80 free events. The celebration kicks off on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, with interactive activities led by artists at the Richmond Cultural Centre (7700 Minoru Gate) and Richmond Cultural Centre Annex (7660 Minoru Gate). Highlights include the ‘Family Treasures’ exhibit at the Richmond Museum, ‘It begins with knowing and not knowing’ exhibition at the Richmond Art Gallery, and workshops from the Rooftop Garden Series related to the upcoming ‘Foodways’ exhibition. Visitors can also enjoy a photo booth and kids fun zone in honor of Gateway Theatre’s 40th anniversary, performances by the Vancouver We Dance Association of Canada, the ‘Canada on the Rocks’ exhibition, and various activities such as pet portraits and clay wheel demonstrations by Resident Art Groups of the Richmond Arts Centre. From Monday, September 23 to Sunday, October 13, the Seniors Centre at the Minoru Centre for Active Living will provide additional offerings in performing arts and dance, allowing attendees to engage with community groups.
