Terms of Reference Approved for $324,130 Public Art Project
The City of Richmond’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Committee approved the Terms of Reference for a public art project at Aspac River Green Lot 1 (6011 River Road). The project, with a budget of $324,130.95, will feature a stand-alone sculpture or a series of artworks in a landscaped area, emphasizing visibility and accessibility. The artwork will align with the City Centre Public Art Plan’s theme, “Honouring Yesterday, Celebrating Today, and Building Tomorrow.” A two-stage invitational artist selection process will be used, involving a selection panel and honorariums for shortlisted artists. Future strata will be responsible for artwork maintenance.
