Residents to learn crucial emergency preparedness steps with a focus on earthquake readiness.

Are you ready to face a natural disaster if it occurs? Having a plan in place and knowing how to respond can make all the difference when it matters most. The City of Richmond’s Emergency Programs staff will conduct a session on emergency preparedness on Saturday, November 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City Centre Community Centre. This free informational event will discuss the five steps to emergency preparedness, emphasizing earthquake preparedness. The session is open to Richmond residents and will be presented in English with Cantonese interpretation, supported by The Civic Education Society. Attendees can engage in a discussion and ask questions following the presentation. Printed copies of the Home Emergency Plan from the Prepared BC website will be available in various languages for guests to take home.
