Local artists and arts leaders in Richmond encouraged to submit nominations for the upcoming awards.

Nominations are open for the Richmond Arts Awards, recognizing significant contributions in the arts by individuals or groups based in Richmond. Submissions can be completed online at richmond.ca/ArtsAwards until 5:00 p.m. on March 10, 2025. The awards involve six categories: Arts Education, Artistic Innovation and Excellence, Business and the Arts, Cultural Leadership, Volunteerism, and Youth Arts. Eligible disciplines include culinary, literary, performing and visual arts, as well as craft, environmental arts, new media and social practice. Winners will be honored at a ceremony hosted by Mayor Malcolm Brodie at Richmond City Hall. The Richmond Arts Coalition will present a $300 prize in the Youth Arts category to an artist aged 24 or younger for demonstrating outstanding promise.
