Residents invited to open houses and online survey for playground project ideas.

The City of Richmond has embarked on the renewal process for the Hugh Boyd Community Park playground and is inviting residents to participate. Two open house sessions and an online feedback form are available for the public to share ideas and learn more about the planning process. The open houses will feature activities for all ages, information boards, refreshments, and parks department staff to answer questions. These events will be at the West Richmond Community Centre, 9180 No. 1 Road, on Wednesday, February 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 1 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Residents can also visit LetsTalkRichmond.ca/HughBoydPlayground to view the information boards and complete an online survey, with feedback accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. The feedback will help shape a concept plan for the playground’s renewal, with construction anticipated to begin in 2026. For more information, residents can contact the Parks Department at 604-244-1208.
