City seeks expertise for advisory role in major construction projects exceeding $50 million.
The City of Richmond is now accepting applications for its newly formed Major Construction Projects Oversight Committee. The city seeks individuals with executive-level experience in fields such as capital project management, construction, finance, engineering, and law. Interested parties must submit their applications by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The committee will provide guidance and feedback on the city’s significant construction projects, each exceeding $50 million, ensuring projects are delivered within the budget and on schedule. Richmond assures continuation of its comprehensive management approach while adopting industry-leading practices to enhance project evaluation and value for money. The committee will consist of up to five experts and may include a Council liaison. The Director of Facilities and Project Development will serve as the staff liaison. Appointments last for two years with quarterly meetings at Richmond City Hall. Members will be compensated $500 per meeting. Prospective candidates should submit their resume and cover letter by the March deadline either via email or to Richmond City Hall. All applicants will be notified once the selection process concludes.
