Community encouraged to give input on future park designs and plans.
RICHMOND, Mar. 10, 2025 — The City of Richmond is crafting a Lansdowne Parks and Open Space Master Plan to guide future designs and implementations at the Lansdowne Centre shopping mall site. Residents have until Sunday, April 13, to share feedback on concept options, program priorities, and park characteristics. Both in-person and online participation formats are available. Three drop-in open houses with interactive activities and staff discussions will be held at the Lansdowne Centre’s Centre Court on March 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., March 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at the Richmond Cultural Centre on March 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Online engagement including a multilingual survey is available on LetsTalkRichmond.ca/LansdowneParks until April 13. Community input will shape the proposal presented to the Council, whose approval will set the path for the parks’ future design and execution. The site is set for phased redevelopment to become a dynamic mixed-use area with residences, commerce, amenities, and parks.
