Arts program review, mural relocation decision, and updates on public engagement for memorial garden and Lansdowne Park Master Plan.
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Committee meeting reviewed the 2024 Arts Services Year in Review, ultimately approving its circulation to community partners. Debate surrounded the relocation of the S.V. Titania mural, with Option 1 ultimately approved, and additional funding secured from other art funds and/or surplus. Future budget increases for murals were also approved. The committee also received updates on public engagement initiatives for a potential Memorial Garden (with a six-week engagement period planned), and the Lansdowne Park Open Space Master Plan (public input period ending April 13, 2025). A Paulik Park event was noted as cancelled due to weather.
