BC Hydro has scheduled four planned power outages in Richmond this week to accommodate routine maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

On Monday, June 16, crews will replace or repair equipment affecting approximately 22 customers in the 7000-block of Blundell Road and the 8008–8239 block of Gilbert Road between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 17, pole replacement work is expected to disrupt power for 11 customers along the 9500-block of Geal Road during the same hours.

Wednesday, June 18, brings two outages: from 8 to 9 a.m. and again from 4 to 5 p.m., impacting 18 customers near 7140–7260 Granville Street and 7051 Moffatt Road.

Later Wednesday, BC Hydro will work in the evening, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., affecting six customers in the 20911 Dyke Road and 7500 No. 9 Road areas.

BC Hydro advises that these planned interruptions help prevent unplanned outages and ensure system reliability. Customers are urged to review their status — using the BC Hydro outage map or contacting the utility — and prepare accordingly.

For reported issues not reflected in the outage map, customers should call 1‑800‑BCHYDRO (224‑9376) or dial *HYDRO (*49376) from a mobile device/
