City’s services will pause on specific holidays with online resources still accessible.
Richmond Civic Services will be closed on several statutory holidays in 2025, reopening at 8:15 a.m. on the next weekday.
These closures will occur on Tuesday, July 1; Monday, August 4; Monday, September 1; Tuesday, September 30; Monday, October 13; Tuesday, November 11; Thursday, December 25; Friday, December 26; and from Monday, December 29, 2025 to Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Although City Hall will be closed, many services remain accessible 24/7 through Richmond’s website and the MyRichmond app. Residents can make use of online payments, tools, searches, and access various forms and information.
City operations including parks, recreation and cultural centers will generally continue during most holidays. Holiday hours for city facilities are posted online.
For emergencies such as water main breaks or traffic light issues, the City’s 24-hour Emergency Line at 604-270-8721 is available.

The Richmond Recycling Depot will close on statutory holidays, reopening on the following weekday. Residents can check garbage and recycling collection schedules via the Richmond Recycling app, the website, or the collection schedule.
