The Richmond Dandelions, a U17 girls ball hockey team, brought home gold this month after an undefeated run at the provincial championships.
Representing the Richmond Ball Hockey Association, the Dandelions are one of three teams in the U17 female division and proved themselves a force to be reckoned with throughout the tournament.
After cruising through their regional zone without a loss, the team advanced to the provincial finals — a six-team showdown hosted by Ridge Meadows over the weekend.
In the championship game, Richmond faced off against Valley U17, a team drawing players from Langley, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack. The Dandelions delivered a strong performance to clinch the top spot and cap off their perfect season with a provincial title.
